Frequently Asked Questions
What are your school hours?
Our school hours are 09:00–16:00 for the full-day program and 09:00–13:00 for the half-day program. The daily schedule is carefully planned according to age groups and includes a balanced combination of play, academic development, arts, and physical activities.
What is the difference between your campuses?
All our campuses follow the same educational philosophy and quality standards. While physical space, garden size, and architectural features may vary, the academic content, full-time English language environment, and educational approach remain consistent. Each campus provides a safe and child-centered learning atmosphere.
What is your action plan for emergencies such as earthquakes or fires?
Regular earthquake and fire drills are conducted at all campuses. Our emergency procedures are based on written protocols, and our staff are trained accordingly. Safety infrastructure and crisis management plans are reviewed on a regular basis.
Does my child need to be toilet trained before starting school?
This may vary by age group; however, especially in younger classes, completing toilet training is not mandatory. We work closely with families during this process and respect each child’s developmental pace. Our goal is to support the transition without creating stress.
Will English education negatively affect my child’s adjustment to school?
No. Children naturally acquire language through play, repetition, and daily routines. In a secure and nurturing environment, English becomes a natural part of their day rather than an obstacle. Our teachers carefully manage the transition process.
What is included in the tuition fee?
The tuition fee includes meals, stationery supplies, the BrightKids mobile application, school trips, and specialist classes (music and gym). No additional material fees are requested for activities included in the program.
How long does the orientation period usually last for children starting school for the first time?
The orientation period varies depending on the child’s age and individual needs. Generally, a gradual transition plan is implemented over a few days to one week. The process is designed to prioritize the child’s sense of security.
Is crying normal during the orientation period?
Yes, especially during the first few days, crying and separation anxiety are quite natural. This usually decreases in a short time. Our teachers help children regulate their emotions and stay in close communication with families throughout the process.
Is daytime sleep mandatory? What happens if a child does not sleep?
For younger age groups, rest time is a natural part of the daily routine. Children who do not need to sleep are offered quiet alternatives such as reading or table activities. We respect each child’s individual biological rhythm.
How is the meal routine at school? How do you approach picky eaters?
We provide a balanced and carefully planned nutrition program. Rather than forcing children who are selective eaters, we use a modeling and encouragement approach. Our aim is to build positive and healthy eating habits.
How do you communicate with parents? Are photos shared?
We maintain regular and transparent communication with our parents. Through the BrightKids mobile application, we share regular updates, important school announcements, and photos of your child. In addition, periodic developmental feedback and individual meetings are conducted.
We do not speak English at home. Can my child still learn?
Yes. Children acquire language naturally in an immersive and consistent environment through daily routines. Speaking English at home is not mandatory; consistent full-time exposure at school is sufficient. Strong communication in the family’s native language is also important for overall development.
Does hearing two languages at the same time cause confusion?
No. Early exposure to two languages supports cognitive flexibility. Occasionally mixing languages is a natural part of development and does not indicate long-term confusion.
Are there cameras in the classrooms? Do you share live viewing links?
For security purposes, camera systems are installed in common areas across our campuses. However, in order to protect children’s privacy and in line with our pedagogical approach, live streaming links are not shared. We believe in a trust-based and transparent communication model.
How do you manage food procurement?
All food served at our school is sourced from reliable suppliers who undergo regular inspections. Menus are planned according to the nutritional needs of each age group and meals are prepared and served daily in accordance with hygiene standards. Our goal is to provide a balanced, safe, and healthy nutrition environment for our children.
